Carter finally said "ma-ma"! With carter having a developmental delay, everything comes a little slower than expected. It feels like we have been working on saying "ma-ma" forever but all the hard work paid off the moment he said it. He has the cutest little voice and it is literally music to my ears. Shayla keeps saying "Mommy, Carter can talk like me now!". Dale feels a little left out and is encouraging the "da-da" now. I hope that will come next. He is also figuring many other things out. He can now rotate in the siting position and stand holding on to the couch or window. He also started scooting a little bit this week. We are hopeful that he will keep making such great strides. Tonight we went out to eat and put him in the high chair. He kept standing up in the high chair so that he could try to reach our drink on the table. It is a good/bad thing that he is getting mobile but mostly good. We don't get frustrated we just laugh and encourage it because we are so happy to see him progressing. Shayla is quick to point out that Carter is being "naughty". She will put her hands on her hips and demand to that he go to time out.
Yeah that is so exciting!! Way to go Carter!!
